POLITICAL ADVERTISEMENT: Thibodeaux looks to be next 2nd Justice Court Constable

Danny P. Thibodeaux of Prairieville recently announced his candidacy for the office of Constable to the 2nd Justice Court District of Ascension Parish.

The seat, being vacated by current Constable Steve Juneau, will be decided during the Oct. 4 parishwide elections.

The second district includes the unincorporated areas surrounding the City of Gonzales as well as the Prairieville and Geismar areas.

Thibodeaux has been a resident of Prairieville for over 40 years and an employee of Shell Chemical for 33 years. He is a 1974 graduate of East Ascension High School and is married to the former Patricia Daigle of Gonzales. They have three daughters and six grandchildren. 

Thibodeaux has been an Auxiliary Deputy Sheriff with the Ascension Parish Sheriff Office for 15 years. He has served as a communications officer, patrolman and water patrol team member. Thibodeaux also serves as a Hazardous Materials Team member, where he brings his training in the petrochemical industry to the table in response to hazardous materials emergencies in the community.

Thibodeaux is a long-time member of the Prairieville Volunteer Fire Department,  where he has served in numerous rolls including as a firefighter, chief officer and board president for more than 10 years of active service.

“As constable, I plan to work with the Justice of the Peace to grow the level of service that the residents of this district have come to enjoy under Constable Juneau’s service,”  Thibodeaux said.
