Berthelot Sr., Ronald Joseph “Ronnie”   

A retired yard foreman for the Kansas City Southern Railroad, he died Wednesday, Aug 13, 2008, at his home in Prairieville. Memorial service will be private.

Hickey, Janice Leigh   

She passed away on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2008, in Prairieville. She was 56. She was a homemaker and a native of Alexandria and resident of Prairieville. Burial in Hope Haven Cemetery, Gonzales.

Landry Jr., Joseph Burleson   

A resident of Prairieville and a local musician for more than 40 years, he passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008. He was 56. He played guitar and was lead vocalist for numerous bands including the Southland Band and the New Blues Band. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Friday, Aug. 22, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville, on Saturday from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment in Prairieville Community Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Jana King Landry; mother, Catherine Rivault Landry; three daughters, Jennifer Landry Board and husband Lyle, Chelsea Joe Landry and Colbi Alaine Landry; sister, Patricia Landry Hingle; brother, Leon Paul Landry; and grandchild, Everett James Board. Preceded in death by his father, Joseph B. Landry Sr.; and baby brother, Leonce Paul Landry. Joe loved life, family, fishing, hunting and music. Joe’s love of music earned him a lifetime achievement award in music and an induction into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Joe Landry Music Scholarship Fund. Donations will be accepted at any Regions Bank location.

Nicholas, Isabelle Canty        

A retired seamstress and a resident of Donaldsonville, she died at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, at her home. She was 75 and a native of Bayou Goula. Interment in Mount Triumph Baptist Church Cemetery. She was a member and deaconess of Mount Triumph Baptist Church.

Brown, Norma Elliser

A resident of Maurepas and retired owner of Whitehall Grocery Store, she passed away at 12:10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond, after a lengthy illness. She was 84 and a native of Ponchatoula. Interment in Whitehall Community Cemetery.
