The 2019 Jazz Fest rumors were true, and The Rolling Stones are going to play this year on Thursday, May 2. But unlike the typically discounted Thursday "locals day," The Stones ticket cost will be $185 dollars.

It is an unusual occurrence for the festival, which will otherwise go on like normal Thursday, April 25-Sunday April 28 and again Friday, May 3-Sunday May 5.

Additionally, "The Rolling Stones Day" tickets will go on sale to Louisiana residents with ID on Thursday, January 17 on the Plaza Level of the Superdome from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Only two tickets may be purchased per buyer.

Tickets for the special Thursday (which is expected to sellout!) and all other days go on sale Friday, January 18 to the general public.

Early bird tickets for all other days will be $70 dollars through February 1. Then they will go up incrementally. Thursday, April 25 is the exception. That day will be $50 for Louisiana residents at the gate.

This year's lineup, as you may expect for the 50th Anniversary of the greatest music festival on the planet includes headliners:
