Iberville Parish Library is calling for all artists to submit work in the 2018 Acadian Art Show contest this October. The 48th annual Acadian Art Show will accept art entries at the Iberville Parish Library in Plaquemine on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 between the hours of 9 a.m. To 6:30 p.m.

The library is located at 24605 J. Gearld Berret Boulevard. An entrance fee will be charged (fee waived for young artists). All mediums will be accepted. Ribbons for First, Second and Third place will be awarded in each category, as well as Best in Show. The awards are made possible through a donation by Friends of the Iberville Public Library and the Iberville Parks and Recreation District, Wilbert Funeral Home and The Bank of Commerce, White Castle, La.

New display panels were purchased last year with a generous donation by the Shintech Corporation. Entries will be displayed during regular library hours at the Plaquemine Library from Thursday, October 11 to Saturday October 20 during regular library hours. A reception will be held Sunday, October 21, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for all artist and admires. Awards will be presented by the 2018 Miss Evangeline, Grace Sanchez at 3 p.m.
