1. Read: Take some time this week to visit the Ascension Parish library. Check out a book. Read it. Also, take a moment to look at the the library bulletin. You may find something that interests you, like the Kanji Anime Club or an author book signing. The library has programs for children this week, as well. See the Lego Club or Parachute Playtime. 

2. Health - Al-Anon: If you are bothered by someone's drinking, Al-Anon Groups may be able to help. We are a fellowship of men, and women who share our experience, strength and hope in order to solve our common problems. Meets Every Tuesday 6:30-7:30 p.m. St. Elizabeth's Sr. Linda Conference Room. 3. Education - College Funding Seminar: Do you need money for college? Come find out how to finance your child’s education. At Ascension Parish Library in Dutchtown, Career Coach Shannon Hattier will share her expertise about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and TOPS. Learn how financial aid really works, as well as how to qualify for and keep the TOPS Award. Parents and students are encouraged to attend this program together on Saturday, January 13 at 10 a.m. in Dutchtown.
