3 Things to do December 28

Staff Writer
Gonzales Weekly Citizen

1.Gift returns: After spending hours on end fighting store traffic and finding just the right gift for the special person(s) in your life, now you get to go BACK to those stores, fight a new set of return traffic and bring back your pants and shirts that don't fit, or that you simply won't be caught dead in. Just what we all want to do, right? Good luck! PSA: If you need a place to hang out this week, don't do it at the malls, please. Next week we'll share some tips on how to best achieve your returns.

2.Star Wars - The Worlds Within: Want to be the star of this holiday season with your family or friends? Join us for an original, fulldome planetarium production that explores the worlds within Star Wars like never before! Follow the Star Wars story from the original trilogy through the prequels, and along the way examine the beloved fictional planets and how they relate to real planets and moons in our solar system and beyond. December 30-31, 2 p.m. at the Louisiana Art and Science Museum in Baton Rouge.

3.A Wicked Evening: Purchase tickets for this masquerade ball and fundraiser benefitting Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area with a “Wicked” and “Wizard of Oz” theme. Themed costumes are preferred; enjoy two great bands, Carbon Copy and United We Jam, as well as food, fun and fellowship. Baton Rouge Marriott, Saturday, January 6, 2018, from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. Open to the public and tickets are $50 each. For more information, please contact Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area at 225-334-7494 or visit and search for “A Wicked Evening” to purchase tickets online.
