1. Holidaze - Have your pet’s photo taken with Santa Paws: Bring your pet – any pet – to meet Santa Paws! Pets can have their picture taken with Santa Paws on Saturday, December 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine on Skip Bertman Drive in Baton Rouge, La. This annual event is sponsored by the Student Chapter of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists and will fund the club’s programs. Fees for the shoot itself are $10 with an LSU faculty, staff or student ID, or $15 without an LSU ID. Select photo(s) will be edited and e-mailed to the participants. The whole family is welcome to pose with Santa Paws in the picture. They make great holiday cards! Pets Believe Too! For information about the LSU SVM, please visit us on the web at www.lsu.edu/vetmed.

2. Art - Sneak Preview: The River Region Art Association is moving from its current location on Hwy. 30, to new facilities at 320 East Ascension St., Suite C. The ‘SNEAK PREVIEW’ will be held Saturday, December 2, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. While we are not quite finished with our move yet we invite you to view our new facility, enjoy the local musical talent of Gaynell Moore, and see original art from area artists. From large to small the Depot Gallery has oil and watercolor paintings, mixed media art pieces, jewelry, photography and artistic notecard! All artwork is available for purchase. Free and open to the public. Contact: Sharon Flanagan, 504-452-2616, Docswampy@bellsouth.net.

3. Children - The Polar Express: Saturdays, Nov. 25 - Dec. 16, 3 p.m. Bring your family to the Louisiana Art & Science Museum to experience this beloved holiday movie in the planetarium theater. Be sure to arrive early to warm up with complimentary hot cocoa and explore the museum, housed in our community's former train station. All ages welcome. Included with general admission or free for members. Seating is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis the day of each show.
