Cooking to Live or Living to Cook: Beef Mushroom Loaf
Rodney Dupuy Cajun Livin N Cookin, LLC

I dug up an oldie but goodie. My grandma was a great cook. This meal is one she used to cook on cold days because the oven helped warm the house.
Ingredients:
¾ cup milk
1 ½ cups soft breadcrumbs
2 lbs ground beef
½ teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 – 4 oz. can mushrooms
¼ cup catsup
1 – 12 oz. pk onion soup mix
2 eggs beaten
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Pour milk over breadcrumbs; add beef, salt, pepper, mushrooms and juice, catsup, soup mix and eggs. Mix well. Put into a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. Bake at 300 degrees for an hour and a half until done. It really doesn’t have to be cold to cook this one.
