Capturing our students and teachers as they excel in all areas is a wonderful way to show your community spirit.

Lake Elementary’s PBIS program is part of the parish’s initiative for Positive Behavior and Intervention Support. At Lake it is referred to as ROAR, which stands for Respectful, Organized, A+ Attitude, and Responsible. This acronym is the basis for school-wide expectations for all students. This month our students of the month in grades K-fifth were chosen by their teachers for improving behavior based on these expectations. Each student was rewarded with a school certificate acknowledging his/her improvement in following PBIS expectations and also received a complementary Raising Cane’s gift certificate. Kindergarten students acknowledged were Lawson Schilling, Ethan Babin, Treston Frederic, Daylen Dauthier and Ian Sheppard. First grade students included, Kylee Richardson, Johnthomas Lambert, Cooper Savoy, William Herman and Travis Richardson. Second graders were Davyn Lenko, Jacob Stewart, Dayton Spruill, Jake McCaskill, Caitlynn Fontenot and Sophia Palmer. Third grade students recognized were Dylan Deliphose, Nathan Jacob, Gabby Templet, Carson Duplessis and Mason Broussard. Fourth grade students were Christina Morris, Colton Villermarette, Reuben Smith and Caleb Guidry. Fifth grade included Austin Schexnayder, Austin Teel, Ruby Lashell and Damien Gautreaux.
