1. Attend a home and remodeling show: On Jan. 23 and 24 at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center, the Home and Remodeling Show, along with Ralphs Food Fest, will be taking place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Show will showcase all of the latest in kitchens, bathrooms, siding, solar products, and more. There will be free samples, tastings, coupons, and recipes from over 30 vendors sure to satisfy everyone’s appetite and experience, plus exciting new products from all of your favorite supermarket brands.

2. Join in on a seminar about United States presidents: On Jan. 21 at 6:30 p.m., learn about the who, what, when, why and how of some of the most talked about events in U. S. history. 3. Go to the “Krewe of Fideaux” parade: On Jan. 23, C.A.R.A.'s House and Eatel are hosting a pet parade and costume contest. To participate in the parade or costume contest, there is a $20 donation per animal. Prizes will be given out to pets in the categories of Most Original, Most Unusual, Best Small Dog and Best Large Dog.The first annual Krewe of Fideaux Pet Parade and Costume Contest will feature a canine “kissing booth”, vendors with great items to browse and buy, delicious food, and adoptable animals who are looking for a “fur-ever” home. This pet parade and costume contest event is one that’s crucial to the future of this organization.
