By His Grace: His love is true for me and you

Edith Nevis

It is promoted within today's society to receive love it must be first earned. This way of believing occurs in life when unaware of God's written word concerning you. He created you and I for the sole purpose to love and receives it back in return through our obedience.

When man's (family or friend) actions directly and continually contradict what God intended love to represent it creates a false sense of security behind its meaning. We then become conditioned in associating love of any kind with a negative opinion which unbeknown silently discredits God's love within our heart. This creates a boundary that hinders a person's ability to believe and receive his amazing love while questioning its authenticity.

Lend not your ears or spend your emotions any longer to the negativity of others. Do not believe the lies of the enemy. Christ's love is free of charge and comes unconditional.

Perfection in life is not required to receive the unmerited favor and love of God.

As it is customary for me to pray before setting out on my day, with you in mind, I asked the Lord what he would want me to do for him today?

Response: "Tell my children how much I love them."

What better way to know the truth where you and I are concerned than to hear from God on the matter.

From Psalm 86:15 other biblical passages: "But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. The Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father, the son he delights in. How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings."

"The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered!"

"Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure."

"The Lord will not reject his people; he will not abandon his special possession."

"Love never gives up on people. It never stops trusting, never loses hope, and never quits."

"And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love."

"God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should repent; has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it good?"

"Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me."

"The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. Since he did not spare even his own son for us but gave him up for us all, won't he also surely give us everything else? Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to me above all people; for all the earth is mine."

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life."

You may ask how one begins to receive this love if you have never had a sincere relationship with God.

By your own free will, you accept Christ as lord and savior. Do not allow this moment to pass; tomorrow is not promised.

When you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Please repeat this prayer: "Lord Jesus, forgive my sins I committed against you. I believe Jesus died for my sins and has risen again. Please come into my life and heart and lead the way. I confess you as my lord and savior from this day forward. In Jesus' name, amen."

Welcome into the family of Christ.

Until next week, be blessed and continue to bless others along the way. Shalom.
