Thank you Mr. Greg Fischer,Donaldsonville Chief staff, andGonzales Weekly staff.

My family and I thank God for the articles that Mr. Greg Fischer wrote about me in a year span inThe Donaldsonville Chief. My family and I thank theGonzales Weekly for making me the Ascension Parish ICON Award Winner. I thank God for the Donaldsonville Chief, Gonzales weekly, especially Mr. Greg Fischer for the excellent services in Ascension Parish. By all of the publications from the newspapers, I have received so many gifts from people, received so many donation for volunteering alongside universities with medical and legal aid projects, speaking at conferences and marches from Pennsylvania and New Orleans concerning issues ranging from #BlackLivesMatter in poor communities to environmental justice along middle class communities, being in interviews all over the world via podcasts and documentaries including ones with people and organizations in Norway and South Korea, and etc.

My youth years consisted of about 20 different extracurricular associations from math club to junior navy cadet, six different sports that includes soccer and football, along with winning countless awards including Who’s Who Amongst America. I've had many successes since graduating from high school and college from SGA president to web design internship worker.

The legacy of the London/Watts bloodline continues as my four kids. Asya Jai-Lashae London, Travis Lamon London Jr, Travien Lamont London, and Traylon Lamone London are featured as activist on the website of one of the largest national community organizations in the United States, called Greenpeace. My kids now have records of everything about me to inspire them to become future leaders like the worldwide activist before us, our late cousin, Mrs. Alberta Hasten.

I’m motivated for the future. Congratulations to all of you atGonzales Weekly andDonaldsonville Chiefon your past, present and future success. You all are a blessing and an inspiration to me. Thank you all for improving communities and being the best in the world at what you all do. I also thank the communities and everyone I met across the world in helping me and allowing me to help them. Your articles been viewed all across the world.

My message to all who reads this is: “Do not live in 'what ifs.' Just keep chasing. Be everything. And love God and your neighbors. Amen.”
