Prairieville man arrested in Assumption Parish

Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Darryl J. Gros, 53, of 16586 Isaac Villar Road, Prairieville, La., on drug related charges following a traffic stop on Saturday evening.

A uniformed patrol officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation north of Napoleonville and executed a traffic stop on the vehicle.

The deputy proceeded to interview the driver now identified as Darryl J. Gross. During the stop, the deputy noted suspicious circumstances and requested consent to search the vehicle. The search resulted in the seizure of suspected meth-amphetamine.

The deputy was also advised of a failure to appear warrant in force for Darryl J. Gross for theft under $1000.

Darryl J. Gross was arrested, transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center and booked on charges of:

*License Plate Light Required

*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine with Intent to Distribute

*Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear

Gros was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
