Ascension Public Schools announces the appointment of Paisley Morgan as an Instructional Supervisor. Morgan, who currently serves as Principal of St. Amant Primary School (SAPS), will transition at the end of the school year.

“We have enjoyed having Mrs. Morgan in the Ascension school system in the past years, and we very much look forward to her putting her past experiences to work in her Instructional Supervisor career,” said Superintendent David Alexander.

A lifetime resident of St. Amant who has spent her entire career in Ascension, Morgan has enjoyed serving as principal at SAPS but looks forward to the next chapter in her career as an Instructional Supervisor. She has devoted 14 years to the school system in various positions ranging from teaching to instructional coaching to school leadership.

“I am really excited to embark on this new journey as Instructional Supervisor. I cannot wait to get to know and learn from my new colleagues, and I want to thank Ascension Public Schools for the opportunity,” Morgan said, upon the official announcement of her new position.

Morgan earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Louisiana State University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Southeastern Louisiana University. Her career began in 2004 at Lake Elementary as a third and fourth grade teacher. She became an instructional coach in 2008 and served in that position for four years, first at Galvez Primary and later at East Ascension High. In 2012, she moved to St. Amant Primary to serve as assistant principal, acting principal and then principal for the past four years.

“Leaving St. Amant Primary is very bittersweet for me,” Morgan said. “We have become like family, experiencing everything from birth to death, to flooding and being displaced. These people are my team, and I love them.”

Morgan and her husband, Justin, have two sons: Graham and Grayson.
