Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office & Gonzales Police hold the trophy after winning the Voices for Children Bowl for the third consecutive year.

April 28th was Child Advocacy Services’ Seventh Annual Voices for Children Bowl at Chappapeela Sports Park in Hammond. This flag football tournament challenged area teams while supporting services for children. Six teams played to raise money to benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center, which offers support to the services provided by CAS on child abuse cases. The event’s mission was to provide awareness to the community about the Children’s Advocacy Center and the help they provide through advocacy, forensic interviews, prevention education, and additional services to children in 10 parishes throughout Southeast Louisiana.

Gonzales Police Department paired up again with Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office to take home the championship trophy for the third year in a row. Other teams participating included Hammond Police Department, Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center, Spirit Professionals, and Hammond Crossfit. Multiple area businesses also came out to support the event and provide services for participants and spectators. These businesses included All American Healthcare, North Oaks Health System, Chick-fil- A of Hammond, and Southeastern Louisiana University Department of Kinesiology and Health Studies. Academy Sports + Outdoors served as Presenting Sponsor for the event this year.

Child Advocacy Services provides advocacy through their mission to give voice, healing, and security to children. CAS provides services to children and families in ten parishes including Ascension, Assumption, East and West Feliciana, Livingston, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John, and Tangipahoa.
