The Jambalaya Festival Association proudly announces its 51st Annual Gonzales Jambalaya Festival and its 51st Coronation of Miss Gonzales Jambalaya Festival 2018. We invite all young ladies living in Ascension Parish between the ages of 18-23 to join us for the 51st Annual Miss Gonzales Jambalaya Festival Queens Pageant. Young ladies interested in competing for this title can download a registration form on the Jambalaya Festival website at Jambalayafestival.org or contact one of our Pageant Directors at either laconger@me.com or sharong@eatel.net.

The 51st Miss Gonzales Jambalaya Queen will be crowned on Saturday, May 26 on the Civic Center Stage on the Festival Grounds. The pageant will begin at 11 a.m. The competition will include interviews before a panel of three judges on Friday evening, May 25. There will also be onstage evening gown modeling and an onstage question on Saturday Morning. The JFA Queen’s Committee will hold a mandatory informational meeting in the Jambalaya Building located on S. Francois Avenue on May 22 at 6 p.m. All interested contestants must attend.

Our 51st Miss Gonzales Jambalaya will spend an incredible year representing the Gonzales Jambalaya Festival by traveling around the state of Louisiana, as an honored guest, to many of our state’s largest and most unique festivals and fairs. She will compete in the Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals Queen of Queens pageant held in Baton Rouge in early 2019 and she will have the opportunity to travel to and tour beautiful Washington DC and participate in several exciting events for the Annual Mystic Krewe of Louisianans’ Mardi Gras Ball. As many of our previous Jambalaya Queens will attest…”You have not seen our great state until you see it through the eyes of a Queen!!”

Our reigning Queen, Miss Alyssa Latuso will complete her year as our 50th Miss Gonzales Jambalaya welcoming queens from around the state to our festival and pageant to enjoy a final celebration, to say farewell and to welcome our newly crowned Queen into their rhinestone sisterhood. Alyssa will pass on our beautiful custom crown designed especially for the Jambalaya Festival Queen and created by Moan Couture Designs of New York.

Ladies, don’t miss this “Once in a Lifetime” opportunity!
