Sammy’s Grill Give Back Night benefits New Beginnings

Sammy’s Grill hosted a Give Back Night on Monday, February 19 from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. benefitting the Leadership Ascension Project Group- New Beginnings.

Project team members distributed fliers to contacts, coworkers, and friends and families in their surrounding communities. New Beginnings is a project benefitting a sober living home for women fighting addiction in Ascension Parish. All money raised at this event will go towards the planning of upcoming fundraising events.

The project goals are set to focus on two needs, the women and the facility. A few of the team goals are geared towards personal development for the women in financial education and goal setting that would be rewarded with scholarships.

These scholarships are being funding through donations, sponsorships and other fundraising activities like the Give Back Night. The team’s vision is to make a positive impact on both the lives of the women in the home and the facility that provides them the opportunity to stay clean and sober.

Sammy’s Grill in Prairieville generously sponsored the group to raise money towards their project. Sammy’s donated 10% of all sales brought in with every flier presented raising over $200.

New Beginnings is an approved project of under the Leadership Ascension Class of 2018. The Leadership Ascension Foundation is a registered non-profit corporation in the state of Louisiana and is a 501 (c) 3 Status under the IRS Code. All donations are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. No goods or services have been provided by The Leadership Ascension Foundation in consideration of the above-mentioned gift. Leadership Ascension is an innovative program sponsored by The Ascension Chamber of Commerce to assist in preparing emerging community leaders for leadership positions in local government, business and community affairs. The results-oriented program is directed by a steering committee of community leaders with the assistance of the Chamber staff.
