Money raised through the awareness campaign supports the ACS's mission of saving lives and creating a world with less cancer and more birthdays. The society works to help people stay well and get well, as well as finding cures for cancer and fighting back.

The American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Ascension Parish will be held Saturday, March 10 at Cabela's in Gonzales. The event is a major fundraiser for cancer research. For more information, visit or call 1-800-227-2345.
