St. Luke Food Pantry

The St. Luke Food Pantry will be open to the community’s needy and/ or elderly individuals every 3rd Friday of the month from 9 a.m. - 11a.m and on a daily basic as urgent needs arise. Local students make Dean's, President's lists

A total of 12,594 students enrolled during the 2017 fall semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load. Local students include: Allie Amedee of Gonzales, President's List; Opal Goodwin of Prairieville, President's List; Avery Haynes of Prairieville, Dean's List; Lance Holmes of Prairieville, President's List; Erin Mayeux of Prairieville, Dean's List; Hannah Payne of Prairieville, President's List; Elijah Simoneaux of Prairieville, Dean's List; Christina Turner of Prairieville, Dean's List.

Oklahoma City University is proud to announce that Chandler Beaman of Gonzales, LA has been named to the Fall 2017 Dean's Honor Roll. Dean's Honor Roll status is awarded to students who successfully complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

DOTD: LA 18 St. James Road Closure

A full road closure will take place on LA 18 from Jones Street to King View Street on Saturday, February 10, 2018 through Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The closure is necessary to string pipe across the roadway for a pipe bore under the river. Detour routes are available: LA 18 North, traffic should detour to the right onto LA 70 for approximately 3.9 miles until they reach LA 3127 on the left. Turn left onto LA 3127 and drive for approximately 12.5 miles until you reach LA 3219. Turn left on LA 3219 for approximately 1.2 miles and you will once again hit LA 18. Emergency vehicles will be allowed to pass through the closure. DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
