Gospel in the Park: The annual Gospel in the Park celebration will be held on May 13 from noon to 8 p.m. at Jambalaya Park, 120 S. Irma Blvd., Gonzales.Gospel in the Park is an outdoor music concert featuring choirs, liturgical dancers and gospel artist. Mother's Day Tea: The Gonzales Library is hosting a Mother's Day Tea on May 13 at 10:30 a.m. This program is designed for children ages three to eight. Attendees will have tea, punch, cake, games and enjoy a story.
Auto Cross:Autocross, also called Solo II, is a timed driving skill competition through a miniature road course. Competition open to any licensed driver (minors will require waiver signed by both parents) with a car in good operating condition. Classes are available for all types of cars and loaner helmets are provided. Registration and car inspections for participants are at 5:30 to 7 p.m. Competition begins at 8 pm. at Lamar Dixon Expo Center. There is no charge for visitors.
