Gonzales boxing facility to host fundraiser

This April, Rock Steady Boxing Baton Rouge, located at 14458 Airline Highway, Gonzales, will join millions in observing Parkinson’s Awareness Month. A progressive disorder of the nervous system that affects the ability to walk, talk, balance and move, Rock Steady Boxing Baton Rouge gives those living with Parkinson’s hope today byoffering anon-contact, boxing-inspired fitness routine proving to dramatically improve their quality of life.

Rock Steady Boxing Baton Rouge will be hosting its 1st annual Push-ups for Parkinson’s and Fundraiser on April 22 to promote awareness and education about Parkinson’s during the annual observance. There will be the Push-up Challenge, Jambalaya sale, bake sale and other opportunities to help raise awareness for the community and the new facility in Ascension Parish.

Parkinson’s Awareness Month is an opportunity for us to raise awareness about the disease our fighters live with on a daily basis and to reflect on their courageous battle.
