Arc of EA announces 2017 star dancers
Ten couples will be dancing their way to Lamar Dixon Expo Center in July for the Arc of East Ascension's annual Dancing For A Cause fundraising event that benefits individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities within the community.
The star dancers met their pro dancing counterparts for the first time at a meet and greet held on March 6 at Kamal's Kafe in Gonzales.
"They were highly recommended by a lot of people," said Arc of EA Marketing Director Sharon Morris. "I am so excited, I know this is going to be a good year."
This year's star dancers are City of Gonzales Chief Engineer Jackie Baumann, The Scotts Company Plant Manager Malcom Carter, Neighbors F.C.U Assistant VP Trevor Gautreaux, Life Source Hospice Community Liason Terri Kaaihue, Triple Threat Dance Studio Owner Tasheba York LeBlanc, Main Street Dental Care Owner Louis LeFebvre III, WAFB Anchor Cheryl Mercedes, Lamar-Dixon Expo Center General Manager Kyle Rogers, Genesis 360 Construction Owner Craig A. Stevens and Ascension Public School Public Information Officer Jackie Tisdell.
The event is being hosted by Ascension Parish Clerk of Court Bridget Hanna and Ascension Public Schools Superintendent David Alexander.
