Anointed Hands Trichology Center for Hair Loss held a ribbon cutting to celebrate their relocation from Sorrento to Gonzales. Public officials, family and friends welcomed the hair loss clinic during a celebration on Feb. 21.

"Congratulations on your business," said Ascension Public Information Officer Martin McConnell on behalf of Parish President Kenny Matassa. "He is always eager and happy to see a new business come to town, especially this family. It warms by heart to see local people being successful in business and in Ascension Parish."

The new location at 15153 La. 44, Suite B, provides clients with more privacy through two separate private suites, said ownerYnohtna "Tona" Tureaud. When clients come in they get a private one-on-one consultation to look at their hair and scalp and will be walked through on proper hair grooming techniques.

"With hair loss and scalp disorders, it's a very sensitive subject that a lot of people are embarrassed or ashamed of and I wanted to give them that type of serenity and peace and let them know that it's ok for what they are going through," Tureaud said.
