The Town of Sorrento held their Fourth Annual Christmas Celebration on Dec. 13 at the Sorrento Community Center.

Attendees were greeted with Christmas Carols from the Do Right Baptist Church Choir and a visit from Santa, who handed out a special gift to each child. The event also featured the lighting of the tree and jambalaya, hot chocolate, face painting and craft projects.

Despite the heavy rain that occurred throughout the day and night, the town said there was a great turnout of residents who attended the Christmas celebration.

Sorrento officials thanked the Jambalaya Festival Association, Ascension Tourism, Republic Services, Bec's Hydraulic Crane Service, Shell Pipeline Co., Sorrento Lions Club, Kleinpeter Fence, Allison's World of Music and Best Buy Auto for their donations and time helping to make the annual event a success.
