After month of delays, and two cancelations, the Arc of East Ascension held their Family Fun Day on May 13.

The annual event is held every March in aliment with Developmental Disability Awareness Month, though due to bad weather conditions throughout March and April, the event had to be postponed two months. Throughout the day, there were games, entertainment and food for those in attendance.

Today God has blessed us with a wonderful day,” said Arc of EA Marketing Director Sharon Morris. “We want to thank our sponsors, all of our donors, BASF is one of our big sponsors and they are always here to support us. We want to thank the community for what they did to help us with this event. The third time is a charm.”

The Arc of EA has been serving the community and those with disabilities for the past 52 years. Throughout the year they host various event such as Dancing for a Cause, a local event modeled after the television show Dancing with the Stars where community leaders present dance performances throughout the evening.
