The Dup Troop students prepare gumbo and cobbler

On Tuesday, Jan. 19, Mrs. Duplechin's class (The Dup Troop)  prepared a delicious Gumbo and peach cobbler for the faculty and staff at Gonzales Middle School with the funding made available through an Eatel grant entitled “Cooking – A Measurement of Success”. This project allowed the students to prepare a grocery list, shop for items on the grocery list, prepare the fixings, measure and cook the gumbo and cobbler. Everyone enjoyed a great lunch and the students were proud of their achievements.
