Most rewarding thing about teaching: 

The most rewarding thing about teaching is when one of my students finally masters a skill that we have been working so hard on. I call it the "light bulb moment" because you can literally see the light bulb go off in their little minds. I love seeing the sense of pride and accomplishment in their eyes and it's at that moment that I know I have made a positive impact  in their lives.

Fun Fact:  I come from a long line of educators. My maternal grandmother was a teacher and principal in Jefferson Parish for 30+ years and my mother is currently a kindergarten teacher at St. Amant Primary.   We joke that it runs in our blood.
