RPCC joins Amazon Smile program

     GONZALES – River Parishes Community College (RPCC) has joined the Amazon Smile program, which allows online Amazon.com shoppers to designate a portion of their purchase price to go toward supporting the college.

     “This is a great program created by Amazon.com, and we are more than happy to take advantage of it,” said Glen Duncan, Executive Director of the River Parishes Community College Foundation. “All a shopper has to do is log onto smile.amazon.com, choose River Parishes Community College Foundation, and then shop as usual. I bought a Christmas gift and took just a few seconds to choose RPCC before moving onto the familiar Amazon.com site.”

     According to the AmazonSmile website, The AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price from eligible AmazonSmile purchases to the eligible charitable organization of the shopper’s choice. The purchase price for each item is the sale price, excluding shipping, handling, gift-wrapping fees, taxes, and service charges or rebates.
