Grilled oysters

The old saying, “you can’t eat raw oysters in a month without an “R” in it”. I love raw oysters. I once ate 14 dozen to win a contest. You know what I won? A dozen oysters! So I ate them too. Now grilled oysters, you can eat all year. Here’s a great recipe.

Ingredients:

Fresh Oysters, shucked and cleaned on the half shell

1 pound of butter

½ cup minced garlic

2 tbls lemon juice

1 tbls Worcestershire sauce

1 cup Italian six cheese

1 cup cheddar cheese

Blanchard’s Blend Cajun Seasoning

Directions:

In a sauce pan melt butter. Add garlic, Worcestershire and lemon juice. Cook on low for 5 minutes, then remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. Light BBQ pit. While pit heats up, ladle oysters with butter sauce. Sprinkle Blanchard’s Blend seasoning on each oyster. Top with cheese and you’re ready to grill. Place oysters on grill and cook for five minutes. They cook quickly! Remove from grill eat and enjoy.
