Clark, Mary Lee Sharper

Known as "Bae," she passed away at 9:14 PM Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital at the age of 78. She was a native of St. Francisville and a resident of Gonzales. Interment in First Pilgrim Calvary MBC cemetery.

Gautreau, Margerie Dille

She passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at 7:12 p.m., at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Gonzales. A resident and native of Gonzales. She was 97. Interment in Hope Haven Garden of Memory. She was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church.

Gautreaux, Leonard L.

He passed away on Friday, June 05, 2015 at the age of 94. He was a member of the VFW as well as a member of the Boilermaker Local 582. Interment in Cornerview Cemetery.

Jumonville, Patricia Ann 'Pat'

A native and resident of Sorrento, she passed away at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2015. She was 70. Interment in Richardson Cemetery in St. Amant.

Lambert, Leola "Lee"

She passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the age of 84. She was a native and resident of Gonzales. She went to Counsel on Aging. After more than 30 years, she retired from TG&Y. Interment in St. Theresa Catholic Church Cemetery.

LaPorte, Lula 'Sis' Thibodeaux

A resident of Gonzales, she passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the age of 84. She was born in West Monroe on July 21, 1930. Entombment to follow at Hope Haven Mausoleum, Gonzales.

Marcello, Sam Joseph

A resident of Central and a native of Donaldsonville. He passed away at his home on Saturday, June 6, 2015. He was 75. He was a former auto mechanic, and retired from Auto Zone. Visiting was at Baker Funeral Home Tuesday, June 9, followed by cremation.

Messer, Barbara Jane

A native of Baxter Springs, KS, resident of Gonzales, LA, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at the age of 90, at Ascension Oaks Nursing Home. Inurnment in Lusk Cemetery. She was a past member of the Eastern Star. She was a very active member of First Baptist Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher, helping with Vacation Bible School, and singing in the Glory Choir.

Russell, Sr. Wayne Lewis

Wayne Russell, Sr., age 64, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 9, 2015. He was a native of Belleville, IL and resident of Gonzales. Wayne enjoyed going hunting and fishing in his spare time. He also was an avid NASCAR fan. Wayne was a HAM operator who worked and retired from Dow Chemical Plant. Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Lee Ann Russell; daughter, Vanessa Nichole Russell; son Wayne Lewis Russell ll; grandchildren, Brittany Nichole Russell, Breanna Renee Russell, Trevor Cole Russell; and his dog, Rocky. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Esker Lewis Russell and Theresa Goodfred Russell; brothers, Richard Russell and Michael Russell. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales from 9:30 am until service time at 1:00 pm. Interment will immediately follow at Hope Haven on Hwy 30 in Gonzales. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the St. Joseph Hospice care and the Carpenter House as well as the doctors and staff of Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. Margarita Maria Suarez, "Abuela"

A resident of Gonzales, she passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015. Born in Havana, Cuba, on April 4, 1925 to Miguel A. Suarez and Esperanza de Cardenas de Suarez she recently celebrated her 90th birthday. She was retire from Louisiana State University, with the English Language and Orientation Program, eventually serving as the Assistant Director. Interment in St. Gabriel Cemetery.
