Prairieville resident to speak at Jehovah’s Witnesses convention

This summer Jehovah’s Witnesses will hold 385 conventions in 103 cities throughout the United States. Worldwide, there are over, 7,600,000 witnesses in more than 109,000 congregations. The convention theme “Safeguard Your Heart!,” focuses on the Bible's references to the figurative heart. The Burton Memorial Coliseum, McNeese State University, Lake Charles, will be the host site for one of the conventions. Approximately 4,600 delegates from Louisiana and Texas will be attending. The convention will be held Aug. 3-5. Curtis Bueche, from the Prairieville congregation, will deliver the public Bible discourse on Sunday at 11:10 a.m. entitled, “The Former Things Will Not...Come Up Into the Heart.” All convention sessions are open to the public and are free.
