The family and friends of Kacie and Jared Laiche invite you to help them in their efforts in this “Caring For Cameron” journey. Cameron is the 2 year-old-son of Kacie and Jared and he has been in and out of the hospital the past six months. You see, little Cameron has been diagnosed with Microcephaley, developmental delay, bacterial overgrowth and most recently with a possible Mitochondrial Disease, which cause him to become very sick, which unfortunately more often than not requires him to be hospitalized. He has been undergoing numerous tests in and around the greater Baton Rouge area, but the doctors locally are really not familiar with this disease and have recommended that Cameron be seen by Mitochondrial Specialists at the Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.  The tests that need to be done to accurately diagnose Cameron's condition and treatment are very expensive and like most insurance policies, are not covered 100 percent. This is what has prompted this family to become involved.
