High Heels for High Hopes names Waiter of the Year
The March of Dimes recently held their High Heels for High Hopes fundraiser in Donaldsonville.
Palazzo Barnardo was the place to be seen, as funds were raised for the foundation during the ladies only gala.
Local men served as waiters, with the one raising the most money being crowned Waiter of the Year. This year's honor was bestowed on Dr. Jeff Fraiche, who raised over $1000.
The entire event raised $27,000, with all money going directly into the March of Dimes foundation funds.
Master of Cermonies was Johnny Berthelot, and the waiters were Olin Berthelot, Fritz Englade Jr,. Buzzy Haydel, Butch Browning, Sherman Jackson, Russell Graham, Jason Verdigets, Tony Marlbrough, Kamal Zaher, Mike Hebert, Clay Schexnayder, Bobby Schexnayder, Blaine Sheets, Lyman Abadie, Kenny Matassa, Scott Banker, Justin Bonaventure, Gary Laiche, Tony Bacala, Marcy LeBlanc, Dr. Cary Aguillard, Donald Songy, Morrie Bishop, and Dr. Jeff Fraiche.
The committee responsible for the event organized a fashion show with clothes provided by Socialite, silent auction, jewelry drawing, treasure chest, and a number of door prizes.
The committee includes Margie Acy, Lillie Murphy, Lisa Laiche, Jobie Templet, Jennifer Villnerve, and Jenny Heroman.
Sponsors were St. Elizabeth Physicians, Mosaic, Eatel, Olin Berthelot and Associates, PCS Nitrogen, MexiChem Fluor Incorporated, Air Products and Chemicals, Turner Industries, DEMCO, and the Gonzales Weekly Citizen.
