A taste of Louisiana in Joplin

Charlotte Guedry
Pictured are members of the JFA in Joplin, along with Nolan Boudreaux. Boudreaux drove the camper to Joplin for the guys, and is acting in the capacity of coordinator while they are there. The group has been asked to cook at the City Hall building in Joplin this morning, and we will bring you pictures of that in next Tuesday’s paper.

The Jambalaya Festival Association boys are still in Joplin, with another group set to relieve them next week.

They have been cooking for both relief workers and residents of the area that have been dealt a blow by the recent tornadoes in the area.

They still need your help to raise money for supplies and Donations are being accepted to help assist with the effort. Anyone interested, whatever the amount, is asked to give.

You can mail a check to JFA, PO Box 1243, Gonzales, LA 70707, or call Wally Taillon at 806-5759, or Rhett Bourgeois at 715-3568.
