Ascension Community Theatre planning auditions in Gonzales

For its upcoming productions of Euripides’ “Medea” and Aristophanes’ “Lysistrata,” Ascension Community Theater will hold auditions on Feb. 5-6 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the home of ACT, the old Pasqua Theater, 823 Felicity Street, in Gonzales.
Director Jean Xavier Brager is looking for 10 women of all ages and 10 men of all ages. Also needed for non-speaking parts, two boys ages 6-9, a puppeteer, a harpist, and male and female athletes and dancers (including well-built men to play temple guards).
Auditionees should prepare a two-minute monologue, and be ready to read from the scripts and do some group exercises.
