G.W. Carver Primary gets Santa surprise

Santa Claus visited G.W. Carver Primary Monday, Dec. 13 with a special surprise.
Originally, the plan was to have a PBIS (Positive Behavior Support and Interventions) fundraiser in which students would purchase pictures with Santa. The fundraiser was designed in order to fund rewards throughout the year to encourage good behavior. “(FYI: At Carver, we BARK--Be Prepared, Act Responsibly, Respect Everyone, and Keep Safe),” said Dot Castello, special education teacher.
Before the big day, Santa (Mark Lousteau) called on several companies who donated a combined total of $550. Because of this generous donation, every child on Carver's campus was able to receive a free picture with Santa (including HeadStart).
“The students were thrilled to meet Santa and the pictures were beautiful,” said a school spokesperson.
G.W. Carver Primary would like to thank the following companies who supported this special event: Capital Rubber and Specialty, Brand Scaffold, Braud Welding and Industrial Supply and Piping and Equipment.
