Santa to visit St. Amant, Galvez areas

Santa Claus is set to appear at the St. Amant Fire Department on Stringer Bridge Road Dec. 7-11 from 6-8 p.m.

He will be expecting to take photos with local children and will have hot chocolate and cookies.

Parents will continue the tradition of collecting canned goods and toys for the annual Christmas Crusade for Children.

Anyone who brings donations of good or toys will receive a free photo with Santa.

Santa will also visit Galvez and the surrounding areas again this year.

He will be riding with the Galvez-Lake Fire Department beginning Dec. 8. Santa will be handing out candy canes and will be collecting canned goods, donations and new unwrapped toys, which will be distributed to needy families in the area. 

The schedule begins Dec. 8 from 6-9 p.m. In the event of rain, a makeup day will be Dec. 18, weather permitting.

Collection items can be made at the Galvez-Lake Fire Department on Joe Sevario Road. 

The schedule includes but may not be limited to the following areas:

Dec. 8 – Muddy Creek Road, Little Prairie Road, Autumnwood, Cherry Creek

Dec. 9 – Smithhart, Jamie, McConnell, Ole Homestead, Oakridge, Galvez Oaks

Dec. 10 – Moody Dixon Road, Greenfield Crossing, Twelve Oaks, Greystone

Dec. 11 – Merritt Evans, Old Hickory, Wallace Acres, Bertville, Cross Creek, Fox Run, Creekside, Glen Williams Road

Dec. 14 – Rustling Oaks, Summerfield, Lakewood, Lake Settlement

Dec. 15 – Henderson Bayou, Norwood, Pinecrest, John West Road, Chrissy Road, Stonehedge, Lake Crossing

Dec. 16 – Pin Oak, Woodhaven, Fields Court, Villa Galvez, Shadows of Ascension, W. Hernandez

Dec. 17 – Lake Hills, Lake Village, Lake Martin area, Jim Mayers, E. Villar area
