CASA open house draws crowd

Gonzales Mayor Barney Arceneaux joined Ameri Corps Vista Recruiter Krisy McAdams, CASA Advocate Supervisor Connie Stein, and CASA recruiter Shannon Guidry during the CASA open house last Saturday.

The Ascension Parish Court Appointed Special Advocates program held an Open House Saturday, April 25 at the office in Gonzales.

CASA staff welcomed those in the public who wanted to learn more about ways they can help abused and neglected children in the community.

Gonzales Mayor Barney Arceneaux was among those who dropped by for a visit, and Ralph’s Market provided refreshments for the event.   

For those interested in becoming a CASA volunteer, training is scheduled to begin May 12 at 6 p.m. in Gonzales.
