Ms. Amelia Yakupzack of Lake Charles, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Yakupzack of Houma, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Jo Yakupzack, to Conrad Lee Gayle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael C. Gayle of Gonzales.

The couple will exchange nuptial vows during a 7 p.m. ceremony May 29, 2009 at Jefferson United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. Arthur C. Meinke and Mrs. Virginia U. Meinke of Watson, and Mr. and Mrs. R.J. Yakupzack of Houma. She is a 2000 graduate of Alfred M. Barbe High School and graduated from Louisiana State University in 2005. She is employed by the Ascension Parish School Board teaching at Galvez Middle School in Prairieville.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Carmine Genevieve Montgomery Acton of Baton Rouge, the late Mr. William Joseph Harris and Mrs. Camille Harris of Natchez, Miss., the late Mr. Bill Acton of Bay Springs, Miss., the late Mr. Thomas Conrad Gayle of Gonzales, and the late Dr. Louis I. Tyler Jr. and Mrs. Audrey Gayle Tyier of Tuscaloosa, Ala.

He is a 2001 graduate of Catholic High School, a 2005 graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University, and is employed by Olin Chlor-Alkali in St. Gabriel.
