The Lamar-Dixon Expo Center played host to the 43rd Annual Spring Powwow over the weekend. The event is put on each year by the Louisiana Indian Heritage Association.

Dancers perform during the Grand Entry Event at the Annual Spring Powwow this past weekend at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center. During the Grand Entry, flags are brought out and those holding them walk around the outer part of the circle. Then the flag bearers stand in the center of the circle, and the dancers dance around them as a way of honoring the flags.
