VFW?Auxiliary 3693 hosts bingo

Members of the VFW Auxiliary 3693 visited Gonzales Healthcare Center Feb. 24 to host a bingo game and deliver ice cream to the residents. Members of the Gonzales Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Auxiliary 3693 visited Gonzales Healthcare Center Feb. 24 to host a bingo game and deliver ice cream to the residents.

Also for the residents on that day was a Mardi Gras celebration which consisted of a parade and king cake.

The VFW Auxiliary held the bingo game following the parade.

After leaving the nursing home, six of the Auxiliary members went to St. Elizabeth Hospital to visit Penny Perque. She is now out of the hospital and doing much better.

Having these bingo games at the nursing home is one of the auxiliary’s community service projects.
