Author to visit library
It’s been said that everyone has a book in them.
Author Evelyn Huckaby proves this in her memoirs, “One More Sunset, Maybe I’d Be Satisfied.”
Her book recounts herchildhood and life in and around New Orleans and Baton Rouge, with a few tales from the local bayous and swamps thrown in for good measure.
Huckaby currently works for The Advocate, which has published portions of her earlier work.
Huckaby will present workshops designed for beginning writers and will be at the Ascension Parish Library in Gonzales, Wednesday, April 15, at 6:30 p.m.
Workshop participants can learn how to choose subject matter and how to put their thoughts into writing and get them on the page.
Huckaby will also explain self-publishing and how she achieved successful book sales.
Call the library at 225-647-3955 to register.
A courtyard reception and book signing will follow the presentation.
