IN YOUR EASTER BONNET: Spring is here

An Easter parade of bonnets strolls through the Ascension Council on Aging in Gonzales Thursday during the Annual COA Easter Spring Fling. Thirty-five seniors competed in the Easter bonnet parade. More than 100 seniors attended the event which also included refreshments, an Easter egg hunt, music by local musician Clif Nickens and lunch.

Doris Walker of Gonzales designed her own crocheted Easter bonnet. Walker crochets items throughout the year for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
