The Annual Robert Family Hayride 2009 was held Friday, March 20 at the Gonzales residence of Don and Mikki Robert. The event, now in its 29th year, is held for kids with special needs. The day included horseback riding, hayrides, games, food and fun. Don, the founder of the special day, started with the help from the local posse. In time the event became so large, with the help of his siblings, along with their family members. Now they join in every year for the event. Pictured, Don takes the reins of the covered wagon with one of many crews during the day.
