PROM PERFECT: Sorority hosts dress project

Tiffany Ray, 16, of Dutchtown High picks her choice for a prom dress Saturday with help from Chandra Darville of Phi Sigma Omega Gonzales Chapter, of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.

The Chapter hosted the Princess Dress Project at the Geismar Community Center, 12060 Hwy. 73.

The Princess Dress Project helps female high school students who are financially challenged attend their school’s formal events (proms, semi formals, etc.), by providing gowns/dresses that they can wear to these events, free of charge.

These gowns were donated by local community members.
