Bus drivers show support

The team Transporters, from the Ascension Parish school bus drivers, are having their administration team sign and donate to their team flag for the Relay For Life May 1. The 25th anniversary event is being held from 6 p.m.-6 a.m. at Tanger Mall, Gonzales. The team has 8 members all of which are bus drivers, and has raised $160 in donates from their flag so far. The team Transporters, from the Ascension Parish school bus drivers, are having their administration team sign and donate to their team flag for the Relay For Life May 1.

The 25th anniversary event is being held from 6 p.m.-6 a.m. at Tanger Mall, Gonzales.

The team has 8 members all of which are bus drivers, and has raised $160 in donates from their flag so far.

This team will be hosting a jambalaya dinner sale Thursday night at the Gonzales Fire house to add to their goal of $1,000. 

“We wish them all the luck and know that if we see the pink flag around we will honk in support,” said Chantelle Matherne, Ascension Relay for Life event chairperson.

Matherne also added that she is looking for any bands/DJs interested in performing in some time slots available.
