Jill Elizabeth Lindsay of Metairie and Donald Lee Townsend of Prairieville will exchange nuptial vows April 4, 2009 during a 3 p.m. ceremony at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Ursuline Academy in New Orleans.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Elaine Gemmolva Lindsay of Metairie and the late Farrell John Lindsay. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benedict Gemmolva of Kenner, the late Johnnie Farrell Lindsay and Audrey Villianbor Lindsay, both of St. Rose. She is a graduate of Ursuline Academy, New Orleans and the University of Louisiana Lafayette, Lafayette. She is employed as a designer and manager of House of Lounge, New Orleans.

The prospective groom is son of Mr. and Mrs. James Mark Townsend of Prairieville. He is the grandson of Pauline Scranton of Bridgeport, Ill., and the late Donald E, Scranton, and Mr. and Mrs. Lee T. Townsend of Madison, Miss. He is a graduate of St. Amant High School, St. Amant, and Louisiana Technical College, Sorrento. He is employed as a E&I tech by Shaw, Inc. of Baton Rouge at Mosaic, Convent.
