Fundraiser held for teammate

The Dutchtown Mighty Griffins football team held a jambalaya fundraiser Saturday to benefit one of their teammates, 9-year-old Duplessis student, Caydan Cockerham, who was severely burned in an accident.

The Dutchtown Mighty Griffins football team held a jambalaya fundraiser Saturday to benefit one of their teammates, 9-year-old Duplessis student, Caydan Cockerham, who was severely burned in an accident.

The event raised more than $2,000. 

Funds will be used to cover Cockerham’s transportation, expenses, and burn treatment at the Shriner’s Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
