Thousands of Girl Scout cookies arrive

An 18-wheeler arrived Friday morning at the Galvez Fire Department with more than 44,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies.

Nicole Guerin of Prairieville tosses a case of Girl Scout cookies to Shannon Taylor of Galvez during the cookie delivery. The cases were then counted and stacked according to flavor. Cookie delivery began Feb. 28 and booth sales at area businesses begins March 6.
