Art Association holds ‘Things I Love’ youth/adult exhibit

The community Theme Exhibit at River Region Art Gallery for February will be “Things I Love.”  This exhibit is open to all.....both adults and youth....experienced or a beginner. Anyone may enter two free pieces of art. All art forms are welcome: paintings, drawings, photography, and 3-dimensional.  It can be art on canvas, paper, wood carvings, fabric art, jewelry, pottery, metal or wire art, papier mache', or sculptures.

With the theme “Things I love”...it may be a favorite person, place, food, chocolate, action, sport....let your mind run wild!  Just turn that idea into your original artform and bring to the River Region Art Gallery between Feb. 3-Feb. 14. This show will be judged and ribbons awarded.

The Gallery, located on Magnolia Ave. behind Domino’s Pizza in Gonzales, is open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.  For more information, call 644-8496.

The show will remain on display until March 1.  Get involved with your creative side and join the community is celebrating “Things I Love.”  It is all free and you are free to express yourself with your own original ideas. Let’s see what talent is hidden in Ascension Parish.
